Art Exhibition Program – The Moakley Courthouse hosts three unique locations for art exhibitions, offered on a three-month rotating basis.
The Art Exhibition Program is committed to using the exhibit space to display a variety of artistic and historic works, to visually enhance the public areas of the Courthouse and to generate public interest.
Grand Entrance/Lobby – We offer four 8×8 double-sided stationary panels for the hanging of all works. The functional no-nails design allows for creativity in display and ease when rearranging the artwork on the track system
2nd Floor Atrium – This hanging track system is located on the 2nd floor Atrium attached to the curved brick wall. The track is 60.5 feet long and hangs 12 feet high from the floor.
1st Floor Harbor Park Hallway East & West Sides – Each hanging track system, set on either side of the 1st floor Harbor Park entrance, is 18 feet long and 7.5 feet high. Artists are welcome to use both sides of the exhibit space or may share their space depending on the size of their display.
